Kays Kakes is a small, family-run bakery located in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. Kay has dreamt of owning her own bakery since third grade and has been baking with her family since she was three years old. Many of our recipes have been passed down from her grandmother and other family members, along with some of her own creations. She began decorating cakes in middle school and continued throughout high school.
With the support and shared interest in opening a family bakery, Kays Kakes officially opened on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. Kay was 18 years old when the bakery first opened. She works alongside her uncle, grandfather, mother, and sister. Our family makes all of our baked goods from scratch in our shop, and we're always experimenting with new flavors to add to our offerings.
